The shoes which don’t have stiff soles can put pressure and stress on the foot during playing and biking.
On the other hand, stiff soles are a consensus for shoes. Stiff soles shoes don’t twist or bend even putting on pressure on them. These stiff soles help play and bike any sports without doing any harm to your foot.

Basketball and biking are a game related to the foot. If there is no rigidity in the shoes, it’ll change their form which is dangerous for a player’s foot. So both basketball and biking shoes have rigidity in them.
